Melanie is a New Mexico-based writer of short stories, YA novels, and creative nonfiction. Her work has appeared in The Boiler, Cutthroat, Sixfold, Post Road, New Ohio Review, and Philadelphia Stories, among others. She was nominated three times for the Pushcart Prize and received notable mention in Best American Essays 2013. When she’s not teaching or writing, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling, and drinking a good cup of chai.

Jennifer is a marketing consultant and holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of New Mexico. She is the executive director of DimeStories, where authors share their 3-minute stories online and at monthly open mic events in San Diego and Costa Mesa, California and in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is the editor and publisher of Square Sails and the Apprentice Boys: The End of an Era, a transcription of her great grandfather’s diary from 1901.
Getting this business off the ground began with an idea... then it stalled. Then we reignited it. Then we decided to enter the UNM Business Plan competition.
