Behind the Scenes in 2019

New at Plume

This year, Plume has been on quite the journey. We’ve featured some awesome writers, partnered with new vendors, helped sponsor the Albuquerque Women’s March, expanded our Women Who Write blog feature, and raised money to publish an anthology of our first year of letters from successful women writers.

We also rebranded our more compact subscription, which is now called The Petite Plume Mailer, and recently we added monthly themes for the Plume Plus Subscription. Upcoming themes include Fall in Love, Gratitude, and Solstice!

Petite Plume, deconstructed

A few months ago, we joined Cratejoy.com, a site for subscription box companies. It’s been a great opportunity for us to expand our community–we’ve now doubled in size. Cratejoy has been a great platform that has enabled us to reach a whole new audience. We’re excited to continue working with the folks over there, and to get Plume even more on the map.

Coming Soon

Meanwhile, we have a lot of new and exciting things coming up at Plume HQ. We’re already lining up writers for 2020, and we’re not gonna lie, they’re going to knock your purple little socks off!

We’re hard at work on putting together the anthology. Right now we’re in the early design phases. Jennifer and I are also working on our own letters to include with the anthology, to provide a little more context for the Plume journey and how writing has shaped our lives. Our goal is to have the books hot of the presses by the end of October, and to ship in early November. Thank you again to everyone who participated in and/or shared our Kickstarter. Stay tuned for more updates!

Opening the Plume Plus Box

The Plume Gals are also gearing up to hit the AWP conference in San Antonio in the spring (which seems far away, but it always sneaks up on you!). We’ll have more details coming up, but the plan is to snag a spot at the book fair so we can meet lots of writers (like you!) and promote Plume through raffles and other fun activities.

In all, 2019 has been a great year for us so far. We look forward to continued growth, community-building, and support for women writers!

Don’t forget to follow us on our socials. We’re always up to something: TwitterInstagram, and Facebook. Happy writing!
